Disney's Descendants Tucson reviews
Absolutely wonderful except this one thing....
This was THE BEST concert I've ever been to. Every single performer was amazingly talented, but what I loved is the joy, camaraderie they had, and their hearts were towards glorifying God. The problem I had was just before intermission. The pastor came out and shared a portion of scripture. That would have been wonderful, and I wouldn't have minded if he then shared about the ministry he wanted the audience to give to. However, what he did shocked me. Some salesmanship for a good cause, I get, but this was straight out of the handbook of how to manipulate people into doing what you want. I mean, AFTER he got people their pamphlets for a kid they'd adopt, they were told they had to fill it out right then and there and could not do it at home. He employed unethical (in my opinion) psychological manipulation and pressure to get people to participate. Honestly, it was creepy. We adopted two children through a different ministry, and he insisted that even those who already do this could afford to add more kids, and proceeded to guilt trip! Sitting through that was painful and discouraging. I will say this, I loved the concert, but manipulation tactics have NO place where the word of God is being talked about.
